Electric Cabaret was formed in 2003 as a partnership between Rebecca Clark and Richard Jones. The name was chosen to represent the eclectic array of styles, genres and backgrounds held between them. So far there have been many fulfilled opportunities, exciting challenges and realised dreams.

Rebecca Clark graduated in Drama and Theatre Studies from University of Kent and received a postgraduate acting diploma from the Drama Studio London. Rebecca's credits include Lola in the Feature Film Rage, Queen Elizabeth 1 The Writing on the Wall; various roles in TIE for Theatre Centre, London, Sherman Theatre, Cardiff and Nottingham Playhouse. After turning her sights to directing in 2002, Rebecca was short listed by the BBC as a new director and attended director training at BBC Training and Development Centre and shadowed at BBC Elstree. In summer 2005 she completed advanced inclusive theatre training with Chicken Shed Theatre Company. Rebecca is currently Artistic Director of Chicken Shed MK, partner in Electric Cabaret and Arts Development Officer for South Northamptonshire Council. She has directed four plays so far in 2005. Richard Jones trained briefly with Desmond Jones in mime and momentarily with Gaullier in Clown and Bouffon before engaging in a career that has so far lasted 13 years. He has come close to being deported for busking in Singapore; refused to pay protection money from the yakuza in Japan, found him self stranded up a sway pole while performing through a riot in Belgium. Richard became a core member of Australian physical theatre troupe 'Born in a Taxi' and a company member of 'Strange Fruit'. In 2000 Richard left Australia for the UK.
